I find it especially interesting that the people who value tolerance and diversity are the first ones to leave it behind.

Tolerance? Surely you jest. I’m tolerant of Jerry Falwell’s brand of hate, as long as he keeps it to himself and his friends. But he tried very hard to regulate the lives of my friends. I’m not going to be tolerant of that.

And I feel no shame in attacking a bigot. When David Duke and Fred Phelps die, I’ll write things just as scathing, if not more. And I’ll be right to do so. There’s no shame in hating evil, and a great deal of shame in acquiescing to it in the name of “civility.”

Good riddance Jerrry Falwell; one less hatemonger in the world. He served only to divide America, just like his prote’ge’ President George W. Bush. Falwell deserves zero respect.
