    Tom Vilsack is Not Going to Be President

    Gov. Tom Vilsack (D-IA) is going to be the first “major” Democrat to announce his candidacy for President. Let’s see…Hillary Clinton…John Edwards…Al Gore…Barack Obama…Tom Vilsack.

    One of these things is not like the others.

      Yes, but his candidacy means that Iowa is out of reach, where Edwards did very well in 2004. So he can have an impact in that way.

      In principle, I agree with you–but I wonder if even Iowans realize Tom Vilsack will never be President…
