The Enemy of the Enemy of My Enemy of My Enemy is My Enemy
By Jeff Fecke | February 15, 2007
So you’re the Tsar of Iran. There probably is one–the Iranian governmental org chart isn’t exactly linear. You tell your Qods folk to give IEDs to Iraqis. Do you tell them to give the IEDs to the Shi’a, or the Sunnis?
Well, the Shi’a, obviously. You’re a Shi’a nation, Iraq is majority-Shi’a, and you’d really love to have another Shi’a nation next door to you, and what’s the death of a few million Sunnis to get that done? Heck, you hate the Sunnis more even than the Americans–really, you’re ready for the Americans to go home, and let you turn Iraq into the client state you’ve always wanted it to be.
Now, who are the Shi’a in Iraq? Well, here’s the funny thing–they’re right now in a loose alliance with America. The government is Shi’a, propped up as it is by Muqtada al-Sadr and his men. Nouri al-Maliki pretty much reports to al-Sadr. And this comes in handy, as the Americans are right now mostly angry at the Sunnis, who continue to detonated IEDs and engage in asymmetric warfare, trying to take out Americans and Shi’a alike. The Shi’a mostly just use what little power the state has to kill Sunnis.
So after all of this, you’re mighty surprised when the Americans go on televsion and start accusing you of running weapons into Iraq and exacerbating tensions.
It’s not that you aren’t running weapons into Iraq–you are. But why are the Americans angry about it? You’re arming their client state. Heck, the Americans even know that–they caught your guys running weapons to SCIRI, Abdel-Azziz Hakim’s party. Hakim told them then that the weapons were for the defense of SCIRI. SCIRI, of course, is the largest party in the Iraqi parliament–the leaders of the government that America seeks to prop up.
In short, you’re giving weapons to a group that America supports. So why are the Americans angry? Oh, America says that some of its troops have been killed by these weapons, and maybe they have–the black market for weapons in Iraq is robust, of course, and no doubt some profiteers have sought to enrich themselves. And accidents happen in war, too. But you’re not targeting Americans. You’re targeting Sunnis. So why are the Americans suddenly being so provocative toward you?
It’s a really good question, isn’t it?

Its because the US needs Iraq Oil and no one who could possibly challenge them in the Middle East.
Iran is being set up to be destroyed.
Its really that simple.
And no matter what the Democrats do or say, IT WILL HAPPEN.
