Dumps Like a Truck Truck Truck
By Jeff Fecke | June 12, 2007
Mike Huckabee is a moderate — anti-burqua and anti-miniskirt:
Q: I read that you’re against miniskirts.
A: If a person dresses provocatively, they’re calling attention — maybe not the most desirable kind — to private parts of their body.
Q: What about a burka?
A: No, that hides everything. I think a person’s hair, arms, shoulders, legs are an appropriate display of who they are. I want people to be attracted to me because they find me interesting, not because I’m wearing something … well, I doubt I own anything provocative.
Q: How about a minskirt?
A: A thong.
First of all, I’ll have to bleach my brain now that I know Mike Huckabee owns a thong. Second, who the Hell is Mike Huckabee to tell women what they should and should not be wearing? Really, it’s 2007 now. Can we just let people wear what they want to wear? Yes, some things are appropriate in some places, but the rules are not as hard-and-fast as they used to be, and most of us figure out the rules just fine on our own through trial and error.
The truth is that what’s a miniskirt to me may not be to you. Exactly how many inches above or below the knee does Mike Huckabee want to define as “appropriate?” And why does he care?
What I find interesting is that Huckabee and his ilk never mention how men can dress less provocatively. As we know, women don’t find men attractive and men can’t dress inappropriately. And even if they did, the real problem is those damn teasing women. As per usual.

They continue to not see the connection between saying women should be “modest” and the burqua. It’s the exact same concept. Muslims just think modesty includes covering the the whole body. They find an exposed face to be slutty.

The amusing thing is that while Fundies like Huckabee oppose both short skirts and pants (officially because of course pantsuits are too “masculine”, though the real reason, according to John “Dress For Success” Rosemond, was because they showed the shape of the Forbidden Leg), Islam has no problem with pants on women, as this picture of stylishly-attired women in a Teheran shopping mall shows: http://phoenixwoman.wordpress.com/2007/06/07/from-the-sane-hitchens/

I wonder if christianist Mike Huckabee has ever been to a gym and if so was he embarrassed(in a holy way)by the sight of men in varying stages of dress and undress.
He sounds like a control freak as well as a simple-minded prude. He’s the type who would be offended by men wearing short sleeve shirts because body hair is revealed.

To repurpose one of our current wingnut memes: If you can’t handle the sight of a woman in a miniskirt, how can you handle al Qaeda?

I so wish this would become a campaign slogan in ’08. At least it should be a bumper sticker.

If you guys mention this on a Ron Paul blog, I can assure you it will get major play. This is the only blog where I have seen mention of this. Heck, you can even go to http://www.FreeRepublic.com and mention this. It could tear the Huckster’s campaign apart (along with the revelation that he wanted to isolate gays).

In the event that bleach cannot be located, chlorine byproducts can be located at any pool supply store. : )
