Not Funny
By Jeff Fecke | June 1, 2009
I really have never understood the concept of the “hate fuck;” it’s way too close to rape in spirit, and…blech. I don’t judge what goes on in someone’s head, and as long as these thoughts stay in your head, fine, but still…yuck.
But going to the next level and actually writing an article naming conservative women you’d like to “hate fuck” is a whole ‘nother level of vile, and actually paying someone for that article is awful, even if you’re Playboy. I mean, I dislike Michele Bachmann as much as the next sentient being, but throwing out sexual fantasies about her while opining that she makes “chemical castration…look appealing” is odious beyond odious.
And it goes without saying that nobody’s written a hate-fuck list naming, say, Rick Santorum.
This is seven kinds of despicable, and it is a reminder that there are plenty of fauxgressives running around who somehow think one can be a good liberal and still hate women. One can’t. By all means, attack the politics of Malkin, Coulter, Ingraham and Bachmann. But do so by attacking their politics, not by asserting that their vaginas make them an inviting target for defiling.
UPDATE: Hot Air, while I appreciate that you’ve discovered misogyny, you guys might want to also police yourselves. Arguing that liberal women aren’t hot is not the way to prove you’re sensitive to women.

Oops:
I appreciate that you’ve discovered misogyny
Google “Michelle Malkin”. I think Michelle “discovered” misogyny in ways that’d curl your nose nair.

This article misuses a term for a legitimate sexual practice. Even the most loving couples have arguments of varying volatility at times. The results often are a day or two of silence and hostile looks, someone sleeps on the couch etc. or alternately they have wild, mind-blowing sex. There’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it’s great. But there are few situations in which you can hate fuck someone with whom you are not in a long term relationship. Otherwise, is is probably what you would call rape.

She has, and while I continue to find Malkin’s worldview despicable, I also continue to find attacks on her gender appalling — if you can’t find a way to attack someone who has said that internment camps are oky-doky without resorting to racism or sexism, then hang it up.
Otherwise, is is probably what you would call rape.
It’s awfully damn close, and in this article I think it crosses the line. I can sort of see two people who hate each other hooking up, maybe, possibly. But musing on hooking up with someone you despise with no indication they’d be receptive is awfully close to coming up with a list of people you’d like to rape.
